Director of Architecture, Engineering, & Construction (4 years)
Mr. Coppinger was responsible for providing consulting, technical sales, training, and support for all AEC and Manufacturing clients. He was also responsible for directing all staff, marketing, and day to day operations for the firm. Mr. Coppinger regularly met with clients to develop and improve their workflow processes, in order to increase client profitability. In addition, oversaw all teams responsible for the setup and implementation of all CAD and Engineering Document Management Systems (EDMS) systems for large, globally distributed, Fortune 100 firms.
Director of Technical & Design Services (11 years)
Mr. Coppinger worked for over a decade at one of the largest civil engineering firms on the east coast. There, he managed a design staff of 400+ professionals, across 17 regional offices, and 18 distinct design disciplines. During that time he implemented two separate EDMS systems, converted the firm from 2D design processes to fully developed 3D & BIM, developing implementation plans, standards, and workflow processes for those implementations.
CAD Manager/Senior Architectural Designer (5 years)
Responsibilities included: design of multiple projects, including public schools, fire stations, and libraries from initial concept and referendum through completed construction documents and as-built drawings. Also responsible for review, approval and coordination of engineering consultant’s drawings with architectural design on all projects. Duties as CAD Manager included design and implementation of all design/drafting software, techniques, and standards for 50+ person design staff, as well as installation, upgrade, and troubleshooting of all design related software.
CAD Manager/Network Administrator (6 years)
Responsible for creation and implementation of CAD department for full service architectural/engineering firm. Duties included: oversight of all CAD operators, maintaining, upgrading and administering Local Area Network (LAN), Heavy concentration of architectural and civil design work, meeting with senior engineers/architects and clients for review and alteration of drawings. Other duties: creation and maintenance of company web site, and mail exchange server, as well as purchase and installation of all software and hardware.
Senior CAD Consultant (3 years)
Duties included drafting all disciplines with reference to data center and telecommunications networks for major corporations such as IBM & MCI. Preparation of electrical, HVAC, and detailed architectural plans. Also responsible for architectural design of support offices and office systems with reference to above.
AutoCAD Draftsman/Civil Estimator (2 years)
Duties included estimating all quantities of earthwork, pipe work, roadwork and right-of-ways and supplying as built drawings of same. Design and layout of all necessary foundations/footings and regular meetings with architects/engineers and construction managers to facilitate projects.
Construction Estimator (2 years)
Responsibilities included estimating, purchasing, scheduling of crews, hiring crews, supervision of projects from inception to completion. Updated estimating department, and all related procedures, to be fully computerized.
