Autodesk Inventor – Surface Modeling
Nearly every object we encounter in the real world has curves, but that’s always a struggle to duplicate in the digital domain. With solid modeling, it can be incredibly difficult to generate a complex curved surface. With the help of Inventor’s surface modeling tools though, this task is a lot less challenging. Virtually any solid object in Inventor can be drawn using surfaces. With a few simple Inventor tools, complex curvature can be generated with ease.
In this one-hour live online course, we will discuss in depth the tools and methods for modeling with surfaces including:
Creating basic surfaces with traditional solid modeling tools
Forming closed shapes with patch surfaces
Combining surfaces with the stitch surface
Converting surface models into solids
Note: Class will be presented using Autodesk Inventor 2020 and that version is required for all students.
