Revu comes with powerful document management and real-time collaboration features. Studio Projects give you a single centralized location to store documents—even entire building projects—in the cloud. And Studio Sessions let project teams review, mark up, modify and update the same files at the same time. So partners worldwide can instantly connect on the same set of documents.


Bluebeam offers three different versions of Studio. Although each version provides the same core functionality for sharing and marking up documents with your co-workers, each has different administrative functions. Bluebeam Studio is the free cloud-based version included with every copy of Bluebeam Revu.

The PDF solution for Windows desktop and tablet users who want to create, edit and markup PDF files. Includes Bluebeam Studio™ for real-time document-based collaboration.

The enhanced PDF solution for CAD users working on a Windows desktop or tablet that includes direct plugins for Autodesk®, SolidWorks® and SketchUp® Pro. Also includes direct integration with SharePoint and ProjectWise.

The ultimate edition of Revu includes the same PDF creation, markup, editing, and collaboration capabilities found in Revu CAD, as well as OCR+, PDF form creation, Scripting, Structures™, Batch Link®, Batch Slip Sheet, and Redaction.


Bluebeam Revu is available to purchase via two different licensing options: Perpetual Licensing and Open Licensing. Perpetual Licensing is a one-time license purchase, with volume discounts provided on a per transaction basis, while Open Licensing is an annual subscription, priced according to volume. The below requirements are suitable for both Windows desktops and tablets.


Operating Systems


Windows® 7 SP1 (32-bit and 64-bit), Windows 8.1 (32-bit and 64-bit), and Windows 10 (32-bit and 64-bit).

As part of the installation, the .NET Framework 4.6.1 will be installed if .NET 4.6.1 or higher does not already exist on the workstation.



  • Display
    1024 x 768. A display driver supporting OpenGL 3.0 or above is required to display 360° photos. Photos may not display when running Windows 10 Anniversary Update with monitors connected using DisplayLink.

  • Processor

    • Desktops and laptops: 1 GHz processor or equivalent (recommended, see discussion below)

    • Tablets: Intel i3 processor or equivalent

  • RAM

    • 4 GB (32-bit Windows)

    • 8 GB (64-bit Windows)

  • Hard Disk

    • Up to 5 GB of available space may be required

  • Using Revu for working with typical office documents

    • When using Revu for general office applications, a standard, general class computer that meets the above requirements may be used.

  • Using Revu for working with large sets of engineering documents

    • When working with large drawing sets (for example, construction project bid sets) in which the PDFs may contain hundreds of large format drawings, it is recommended that workstations have adequate memory and processor resources. A recommended hardware configuration would be 64-bit Windows with an Intel i5 Dual Core or better processor, as well as at least 8 GB of RAM. Revu can run on systems with lower specifications; however, a workstation with these settings will provide the optimal performance.

  • Using Revu for OCR

    • When using the OCR functionality of Revu eXtreme, 64-bit Windows is highly recommended for best performance.
