Revit Family Fundamentals

Whether you’re a Revit veteran, or just breaking into the Revit world, Families are a vital component of any workflow. The Family’s ability to pre-define groups of objects with adjustable parameters is the very heart of Revit. Generating a complete library of Families to address the work that your company actually does, instead of depending on generic examples that Autodesk includes with Revit, is the key to efficiency and increased profitability on your design projects. Understanding how to modify and build your own Families from scratch is a required skill for anyone working in the design world. Whether you’re looking to update your firm’s capabilities, or just looking to increase your personal Revit skills, ZenTek Consultants is here to help.

This eight (8) hour course is delivered in four (4), two-hour long sessions that students can attend online, right from their own desk. A live instructor will explain the detailed functions, and address questions as the class progresses.

Renderings with Revit and Enscape

Rendering your Revit models doesn’t have to be time consuming, or expensive. We all shy away from using renderings because we can’t always correlate the effort put into them with the benefit they provide. Using the Enscape rendering engine inside Revit balances that equation. You can quickly and easily generate renderings, not just for presentation purposes but to better communicate your design concepts and verify system interactions in just a few minutes.

Intro to FormIt

Autodesk FormIt is a powerful design tool that, when used in conjunction with Revit early in the design process, can bridge the gap between design and construction documents. FormIt is a mass modeling program that simplifies schematic visualization, using Autodesk’s Material Library, and can also improve analysis using Autodesk Insight360. FormIt models can be transferred into Revit for seamless transition to design development and construction documentation. This live online course provides an overview of the features of FormIt and its integration into Revit.

Advanced Dynamo for Revit

Dynamo is a powerful visual programming tool that plugs directly into Revit, that allows advanced control of your BIM objects without extensive coding. For those of us who have dabbled into it on our own, we can see the potential benefits to productivity and costs, but it isn’t always easy to work your own way thru some of the more detailed Dynamo for Revit concepts. ZenTek Consultants is here to help with that. This class is focused on the Intermediate level user – folks who have used Dynamo before but need focused instruction to fully realize the immense potential of automating their design project processes.

Revit for Electrical

Sometimes it seems that the Revit training world ignores electrical work. They focus on architecture and, if you’re lucky, MEP, but they somehow always seem to gloss right over the “E” in that word, throwing in a few quick minutes discussing what it can do, and never showing you how. This course is designed specifically for those who make their living in the electrical side of the MEP world, and who need detailed instruction on how to make effective use of the powerful tools inside Revit for their own industry. If you’re looking to reduce model production times, and increase the quality of your output, this course from ZenTek consultants is exactly what you need.
